2023 U16 TEAM
The following schedule is for the U16 Team Manitoba – Tackle only. Some details are not currently available but will be updated here as they are confirmed. Registration links will be added for each component(s) as the forms are available.
Dates may be subject to change, and additional dates may be added, however once registration opens there will be no changes to that event.
ATHLETE TESTING/COMBINE
Athlete testing is done by the staff from the Canada Games Training Centre/Sport Manitoba. Using the latest electronic timing technology, athletes will receive accurate and professional measurements of their abilities. Players will receive their results showing their ranking among all players in their age group, as well as compared to the athletes that indicated the same primary football position.

THUNDER BAY IDENTIFICATION CAMP
Players from North Western Ontario are invited to attend this identification camp in Thunder Bay. It is open to all U16 and U18 players that are interested in pursuing a spot on the Team Manitoba roster to play in the Western Challenge this July. Provincial team coaches will be in attendance to identify players that can compete at the next level and invite them to attend the next phase in Winnipeg .

WINNIPEG IDENTIFICATION CAMP
Through four sessions over two days, the top 40 performers along with a maximum of 14 alternates will move on to the final selection phase to hopefully be part of U16 Team Manitoba. All Manitoba players are invited to attend, along with those players invited from the North Western Ontario ID camp. Players must attend to be eligible for the next phase. Lunch provided both days (11:00am-12:00pm)

FINAL IDENTIFICATION PHASE
The top 50-54 players train as a unit from which coaches will make their final selections for the travel roster of 40 players. Preparation and training may consist of virtual learning sessions, position specific practices, team practices etc.
