Over the course of 6 fun weeks, Boys and Girls age 6 and 7 will be introduced to the exciting sport of flag football. 

Flag football is one of the fastest growing sports around the world as anyone can play regardless of their gender, size, skill level or experience.  We are excited to be adding this new “U8 KickStart Flag” program as a first step on the flag football pathway…possibly all the way to the Olympics!

Participants will learn basic flag football skills, gain an understanding of the game and experience friendly competition through fun activities and flag football games.  For many children at this age, this will be their first introduction to “team” sport.

Our focus much less on competition and far more on fin and being active!  Scoring is not kept as we want to encourage everyone celebrating the successes of all teams and participants.

All players will register as individuals and will be assigned to a flag team, however you can request to be assigned to a team with a friend that is also registered.

All sessions will be held at the University of Winnipeg – Axworthy Health and RecPlex.

    • Start date is May 12th and finishes June 16th.
    • All players receive 2 game shirts and a set of flags!
    • Cost to participants is only $99

COACHES
This program will be led by seasoned coaches with the assistance of some of our brightest high performance players, but as with most youth sports we require parents to assist in the delivery of the program.

When you register your child you will be able to indicate that you will help us out.  No football knowledge or experience is necessary, and both moms and dads are welcome!
