SAFE CONTACT

An integral part of Football Canada’s National Coaching Certification Program, Safe Contact teaches safe tackling and blocking techniques along with safety education and awareness. Every football player needs to be able to perform the football fundamentals taught in Safe Contact, regardless of what position they play on the field. Safe Contact is a 1 day clinic in class  (or split over two evenings) that is required for all tackle coaches.

 

COMMUNITY SPORT COACH

Community Sport Training is designed for coaches who are currently coaching athletes aged 6–13 in contact or non-contact football. The Community Novice Coach E-learning course (online) must be completed before attending this in-person training. The Community Sport workshop is a 1 day clinic that is required for anyone coaching athletes under the age of 14.


COMPETITION INTRODUCTION (FLAG)

Competition Introduction Non-Contact clinics are designed for coaches who are currently coaching athletes aged 14 – 18 in competitive leagues. This Non-Contact Workshop is a 1 day clinic.

COMPETITION INTRODUCTIONPOSITION COACH – (TACKLE)

Competition Introduction clinics are designed for coaches who are currently coaching athletes aged 14 – 18 in contact football. The Position Workshop is a 1 day clinic plus a 2 hour Position Module for the position the coach will be working with.


COMPETITION INTRODUCTIONCOORDINATOR – (TACKLE

This workshop is designed for experienced coaches who are Comp Intro Position Coach Certified and have completed at least two Position Modules. This is an advanced course intended for coaches in more competitive programs.  The Coordinator Workshop is a 1 1/2 day clinic

 


COMPETITION INTRODUCTIONHEAD COACH – (TACKLE)

This workshop is designed for experienced coaches who are Comp Intro Coordinator Certified and have completed at least four Position Modules. This is an advanced course intended for coaches in more competitive programs with several years of coaching experience at the Comp Intro level. The Head Coach Workshop is a 2 day clinic

 

COMPETITION DEVELOPMENT – (TACKLE)

This workshop is designed for coaches at the highest level of amateur tackle football usually involving inter-provincial or national competition (CJFL, USport or higher)  experienced coaches who are Comp Intro Coordinator Certified and have completed at least four Position Modules. This is an advanced course intended for coaches in more competitive programs with several years of coaching experience at the Comp Intro level. The Head Coach Workshop is a 2 day clinic
