H.U.M.A.N Podcast Series

Football Manitoba presents:

The H.U.M.A.N Podcast Series

A Series for Coaches, Players and Parents

“Whether you’re a Grey Cup champ, a U SPORTS star, or just starting your football career, we are all unapologetically HUMAN. We experience loss, happiness, struggle and we grow from these experiences. The HUMAN podcast takes a deeper look at the person underneath the helmet, showing that at our core, we’re all in this together”.

H – Healthy mind
U – Understanding your potential
M – Maintaining optimism
A – Appreciating the NOW
N – Navigating adversity

Each episode in this series includes:

  • Podcast (an interview with a member of the MB football Community)
  • Hot Reads (a document for players to help them learn from the podcast guest)
  • Go Route (for coaches so they can work on these areas with their team)
  • Deep Dive (where one concept is explored in a bit more detail.  Ready to be used with your team).

How to use this with your team?

  1. Listen to a podcast
  2. Take some notes and get your athletes to do the same
  3. Check out the Go Route and see if there are any ideas in there on things to discuss with your team
  4. Get together on a zoom call and talk about key takeaways and whether they have had any similar experiences
  5. Assign them the Hot Reads as homework
  6. Check out the deep dive.  Consider doing this with your team

The topics were selected carefully with the global pandemic in mind.  These were topics that Football MB felt would be beneficial for their community. Choose a topic that you feel is a good fit for your team.  Use this series as a component of your zoom video sessions.
