The Manitoba Football Association (MGFA) has introduced a centralized registration model this year to simplify the process. Here’s a breakdown of the key points:

1. Registration: Instead of registering with a specific club, you’ll register  directly with the league.

    

2. Team Placement:
   • If you played on a team in the MGFA last year, you’ll be automatically placed on that same team , however please register prior to April 7th, or else there is no guarantee you will be placed on this team, if their roster is full. 
   • If you live in the catchment area of an MGFA team, you’ll be placed on that team.
   • If you’re out of the catchment area and have a preferred team, you can express this on your registration form, but there’s no guarantee of placement on that team.

Fees: The $350 registration fee covers your playing costs; an additional $45 Football Manitoba and Canada fee covers your insurance to play football. These fees are to be paid at the point of registration with the league.  However, once you are assigned to a team, expect that there will be a deposit for your equipment and a volunteer fee. 

Goal of the Change: The new system aims to grow the league by streamlining the registration process.
